Distribution Results for the 2025-06 Period -Amount distributed exceeds 34.7 billion JPY, up 5.0% from the 2024-06 period-

The Japanese Society for Rights of Authors, Composers and Publishers (JASRAC) distributed copyright royalties to rights holders including creators and music publishers on June 9, 2025. The amount distributed for the 2025-06 period was 34,746,415,402 JPY (up 5.0 % from the same period of the previous fiscal year), achieving a record high for June distributions. (*1)

JASRAC distributes copyright royalties paid by music users to rights holders on a quarterly basis (March, June, September, and December). The 2025-06 distribution primarily reflects royalty income collected between October 2024 and March 2025. (*2)

Major live concerts, etc.
Resulting from an increase in the number of performances, distribution for "Performances, etc." amounted to approximately 1.64 billion JPY (up 10.1% from the same period of the previous fiscal year), and approximately 1.48 billion JPY was distributed for "Major live concerts, etc." held at large-scale venues such as domes and arenas (up 22.0% from the same period of the previous fiscal year).

From an increase in online royalties mainly from the United States, France, South Korea and China, distribution for "Foreign income (performances)" was approximately 650 million JPY (up 62.3% from the same period of the previous fiscal year), and distribution for "Foreign income (reproduction)" was approximately 240 million JPY (up 78.8% from the same period of the previous fiscal year). Audio discs Hits such as album releases by popular male idol groups lead to a distribution of approximately 2.08 billion JPY (up 27.3% from the same period of the previous fiscal year).
Interactive transmissions The market for video streaming and music subscription services continued to maintain strength, with a distribution of approximately 13.75 billion JPY (up 7.1% from the same period of the previous fiscal year).

The number of works subject to distribution was 2,715,307 works. The number of rights holders subject to distribution, including distributions through music publishers, was 85,288 creators and 3,025 music publishers. Royalties were also distributed to 334,053 creators and 37,006 music publishers through 119 foreign copyright management organizations.

JASRAC will continue to strive for the development of the music industry and music culture by bringing returns to creators and rights holders.
