JASRAC Fiscal 2024 Business Affairs

The Japanese Society for Rights of Authors, Composers and Publishers (JASRAC) collected JPY144.58 billion and distributed JPY142.33 billion in FY2024, both marking a record high.

Royalty collections increased by JPY7.42 billion compared to FY2023. Music subscription and video services under the category of interactive transmissions continued to show good results, while the category of performances, etc. with an increased number of large-scale concerts and live performances was also strong. For the first time, collections surpassed JPY140 billion.

Distribution increased by JPY7.2 billion from FY2023, also exceeding JPY140 billion for the first time. Royalties were distributed to 3,313,762 works, topping the 3,121,804 works in FY2023.

JASRAC will continue to strive for the development of the music industry and music culture by returning to creators and rights holders the compensation they deserve.
