On July 8, 2026, the Japanese Society for Rights of Authors, Composers and Publishers (JASRAC) updated KENDRIX, a music information management system equipped with a blockchain-based Proof of Existence (PoE) framework and eKYC functions.
New functions available in KENDRIX
■Start of data coordination with PetitLyrics and implementation of functions to edit synchronized lyrics data displayed line by line
Lyric data registered with KENDRIX is used to create the data for displaying synchronized lyrics line by line. The data is then used to display the synchronized lyrics line by line through a data-linking function using the lyric data of the lyric distribution service PetitLyrics and music streaming services.

■What is KENDRIX?
KENDRIX is a DX (digital transformation) platform for creators based on the concept "Creating a world where all music creators can participate in the creation ecosystem." It aims to enable music creators to securely release their works and to lower the barriers of various procedures required to receive legitimate remuneration.
Using a blockchain-based framework, KENDRIX provides a service to issue PoEs of musical works that certify when and by whom a relevant musical file was owned.
In addition, with its eKYC-based creator identity verification feature as well as the function to check the similarity of sound sources by using music recognition technologies such as fingerprinting, KENDRIX is used by many music creators as a one-of-a-kind system which supports "authenticity of the work" and "identification of the writer," both of which are becoming increasingly important amid the rapid advancement of generative AI.
*Since its release on October 31, 2022, KENDRIX has been used by more than 3,000 creators in total, with more than 18,000 sound source data registered (as of July 2026).
