- Distribution Results for the 2026-09 Period
The Japanese Society for Rights of Authors, Composers and Publishers (JASRAC) distributed copyright royalties to rights holders including creators and music publishers on September 11, 2026. The amount distributed for the 2026-09 period was 38,300,898,253 JPY (up 2.4% from the same period of the previous fiscal year), achieving a record high for September distributions. (*1)
JASRAC distributes copyright royalties paid by music users to rights holders on a quarterly basis (March, June, September, and December). The 2026-09 distribution primarily reflects royalty income between January 2026 and June 2026. (*2)

Factors such as increase in the number of performances in the overall concert market, centered around large-scale concerts held in venues such as domes and arenas, lead to "Major live concerts, etc." distributing approximately 2.02 billion JPY (up 18.1% from the same period of the previous fiscal year) and "Performances, etc." distributing approximately 1.67 billion JPY (up 6.4% from the same period of the previous fiscal year). |

The number of works subject to distribution was 2,894,410 works. The number of rights holders subject to distribution, including distributions through music publishers, was 96,415 creators and 3,103 music publishers. Royalties were also distributed to 368,034 creators and 41,082 music publishers through 117 foreign copyright management organizations.
JASRAC will continue to strive for the development of the music industry and music culture by bringing returns to creators and rights holders.
(*1) Administrative expenses, income taxes, etc. are deducted from the above amounts distributed when sent to rights holders.
