- JASRAC Fiscal 2025 Business Affairs
The Japanese Society for Rights of Authors, Composers and Publishers (JASRAC) collected JPY152.32 billion and distributed JPY151.85 billion in FY2025, both marking a record high.
Royalty collections increased by JPY7.73 billion compared to FY2024. Interactive transmissions which cover music subscription and video services continued to show good results, while the category of performances, etc. with an increased number of large-scale concerts and live performances was also strong. For the first time, collections surpassed JPY150 billion.
Distribution increased by JPY9.52 billion from FY2024, and the amount returned to creators exceeded JPY150 billion for the first time. Royalties were distributed to 4,066,661 works (*1).
JASRAC will continue to strive for the development of the music industry and music culture by returning to creators and rights holders the compensation they deserve.
