On June 25, 2019, JASRAC distributed copyright royalties to rightsowners including authors, composers and music publishers.

The amount distributed for 2019-06 period was 26,585,604,698 JPY, which is 110.1% compared to the same period in the previous year.

Royalties were distributed to 1,914,919 works. The number of rightsholders who received royalties, including distribution through music publishers, was 61,388 writers and 2,618 music publishers. In addition, royalties were distributed to 250,528 writers and 30,457 music publishers through 115 foreign sister organizations.

Distribution Results for 2019-06 Period

Primary factors for this result are growth in categories such as interactive transmissions, which distribution was 161.2% compared to the previous fiscal year due to the expansion of subscription service and online video service markets. Distribution for the category of reproduction for games was also 185.2% compared to the previous fiscal year due to the increased sales of music games.
