Performances, etc.

Major live concerts, etc.

Due to an upward trend in the admission fees (ticket price), which are a basis for calculating royalties, the distribution for "Performances, etc." was about 1.37 billion JPY (116.9% of the same period of the previous fiscal year). In addition, as the number of major performances by overseas artists has been increasing, the distribution for "Major live concerts, etc." was about 780 million JPY (380.1% of the same period of the previous fiscal year).

Foreign income (performance and reproduction)

The income from the U.S. and France for the royalty of transmissions is growing steadily, so the distribution for "Foreign income (performance)" was about 360 million JPY (127.9% of the same period of the previous fiscal year) and "Foreign income (reproduction)" was about 110 million JPY (173.8% of the same period of the previous fiscal year).

Interactive transmissions

The markets for online video services and music subscription services still show steady growth and the license agreements with some transmission services have been renewed, so the distribution for "Interactive transmissions" was about 11.57 billion JPY (120.4% of the same period of the previous fiscal year).

The number of works subject to distribution was 2,403,134 works. Rights holders who are entitled to receive royalties, including distribution through music publishers, amount to 72,076 writers and 2,848 music publishers. Furthermore, royalties are distributed to 310,604 writers and 35,734 music publishers through 114 foreign sister societies.

JASRAC will continue to strive for the development of the music industry and music culture by returning to creators and rights holders the compensation they deserve.
