JASRAC Donated Course at the Kunitachi College of Music
The First Opening at a Music University

On September 8, JASRAC opened the Introductory Class on the Copyright Act on Music, its donated course, at the Faculty of Music Studies of the Kunitachi College of Music (Tachikawa City, Tokyo). It is the first JASRAC donated course at a music university.

The purpose of this course is to provide an opportunity in which students of a music university, many of who will work in music-related fields after graduation, can acquire a basic knowledge of copyright through various cases so that they may understand the fundamentals of the Copyright Act and take appropriate action in the future.

During the course, influential persons in various fields including Mr. Satoshi Takebe (composer and music producer), a member of JASRAC and a graduate of the Kunitachi College of Music, will give lectures.

JASRAC has been providing donated courses and subjects since 1999 to contribute to education and research at universities, graduate schools, and other institutions.
