Operation Standard for Performances at Singing Classes

1. Scope of application
   This operation standard applies to the performances, exhibition and transmission of musical works at singing classes (karaoke classes, vocal schools and other businesses whose sole is to teach their students how to sing).
2. Fees
   The fee is as follows. (Consumption tax will be added.)
   1. (1) The fee for performances at singing classes (karaoke classes, vocal schools and other businesses whose sole is to teach their students how to sing) shall be an amount calculated as follows, within the scope of “4. Performances at karaoke facilities” of Article 1 General Performances, etc. of the Tariffs for Use of Musical Works plus an amount equivalent to the consumption tax.
      1. (i) The fee when yearly comprehensive usage license is concluded

         Average number of students per lesson	Monthly fee
         1-5	4,500 yen
         6-10	9,000 yen
         11-30	18,000 yen
         31-50	27,000 yen

         Thereafter the amount of 9,000 yen is added for each additional unit of 50 students
      2. (ii) The fee when yearly comprehensive usage license is not concluded

         Average number of students per lesson	The fee per work per use not exceeding 5 minutes
         1-5	45 yen
         6-10	90 yen
         11-30	180 yen
         31-50	270 yen

         Thereafter an amount of 90 yen is added for each additional unit of 50 students
   2. (2) Fee discount
      The following discounts are available.
      1. (i) New administration discount for prior agreement
         Those who conclude a license agreement before the commencement of administration in April 2016 can receive a 10% discount on the fee for the fiscal year 2016 (From April 2016 to March 2017).
      2. (ii) Advance payment discount
         Those who pay the monthly fee in advance can receive a discount on the fee as follows:

         Advance payment	Discount	Fees(if the monthly fee is 4,500 yen; excluding tax)
         3 months' fee	0.1 months' fee	13,500 yen → 13,050 yen (4,500 yen x 2.9 months)
         6 months' fee	0.5 months' fee	27,000 yen → 24,750 yen (4,500 yen x 5.5 months)
         12 months' fee	1.2 months' fee	54,000 yen → 48,600 yen (4,500 yen x 10.8 months)

   3. (3) When instructors rent a karaoke facility or use a rental studio or community center or otherwise hold a singing lesson at any place other than their own facility, the fees above apply individually to each such instructor.
