SOZA (Slovakia) makes contribution to JASRAC's
Earthquake Restoration Support Fund
In support of efforts undertaken by JASRAC to aid the areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake and to also nurture music culture in those regions, sister copyright management organization SOZA (Slovensky Ochranny Zvaz Autorsky) of Slovakia has kindly offered to make a contribution to JASRAC's Earthquake Restoration Support Fund.
SOZA has pledged amounts equivalent to copyright royalties distributable by JASRAC to SOZA during the year 2012 for performing rights and mechanical rights usages of SOZA repertoire taking place in Japan. The sums will be incorporated into the JASRAC Earthquake Restoration Support Fund.
In concluding the cooperative agreement to make this contribution, SOZA General Manager Vladimír Repčík said in a warm letter to JASRAC President Misuo Sugawara, "We sincerely hope that SOZA's contribution will fit the affected areas as one of many puzzle pieces to the whole set of support that will hopefully return prosperity and courage to those who need it most."
JASRAC is encouraged by the strong solidarity demonstrated by SOZA, and expresses its profound appreciation to SOZA for their heartfelt contribution.
