Incorrect information was published in the heading of the above-mentioned article, “250 Mil yen of copyright royalties unpaid,” and also in the article itself.  The following are the facts on this issue.

JASRAC and iTunes K.K., the Japanese firm affiliated with Apple, Inc. in the US, which provides the iTMS service for Japan, has concluded a licensing agreement, and iTunes K.K. has already made their usage report of the musical works and paid interim copyright royalties to JASRAC.  JASRAC is now undergoing procedures to obtain accurate data for the works used in iTMS.  When we complete these procedures, we will be able to finalize the payable royalty amount and can make distributions to the right owners.
